Disaster Relief and Recovery Volunteers Will
*Have a deep desire to share the love of Christ by helping others
*Have compassion toward those who have lost a great deal
*Work cooperatively with others and have a flexible mindset
*Are in good-to-excellent health and have the stamina for hard work
*Assist survivors within the limits of their training and abilities
*Are sensitive to and accepting of others regardless of racial/cultural differences
*Are willing to act as a representative of Saylorville Church in all that they do (this includes actions, attitudes, and speech)
*Will not use vulgar language or inappropriate jokes/talk
*Understand that their actions and how they speak reflects on others
*Will not use alcohol or tobacco at any time during a team deployment
*Will respect the belongings of survivors and be especially careful not to salvage irreplaceable personal items
*Will be respectful of Saylorville Church property and other charity equipment/housing
*Will wear chaps and a helmet during all chainsaw use and will take periodic breaks to help reduce risk of injury from exhaustion
*Will not remove any debris while a chainsaw is being used for cutting
*Will be good stewards of donated funds, tools, materials, and time; putting wants and desires aside in order to address the needs of others
*Are active members of Saylorville Church or know someone who is and who is willing to sponsor them
*Are 18 years of age or older or accompanied by a parent (ages 12-17)
